Al (29) -- Or subject A, as Hale calls him. He volunteered to be a test subject in order to repair his leg nerves who has ceased to function ever since he got hit by a truck when he was a teenage boy. Al is very good with computers and helps out with the research. He is cynical, sarcastic and loves to annoy and mock Hale's dedication to her work. Al's original work is unknown. Al has a tendency to get pain attacks and need to consume painkillers frequently.

Hale Seung (27) -- Or "Brainiac" as Al calls him. Hale is a young and talented neurosurgeon who is currently researching how to attach and repair long-term paralysis, create artificial limbs and nerves and regain 100% normal function, in order to continue her father's research. She is a very cold woman, who shows no emotions and seems to be too focused on her work. Even though she and Al are in bad terms with each other, they are having a casual on-and-off relationship with no strings attached which remains a secret because it is against research ethics.

Flynn Maxwell (20) -- Or subject B, as Hale calls him. Ace found him unconscious with half of his limbs destroyed, fortunately they managed to save him. His ID identified him as Flynn Maxwell and he is unable to speak. He carries an Etch A Sketch with him and communicate that way. Gerald seems to be remembering him from his past, but Flynn claims that he cannot remember anything due to the trauma. Even though he can't speak, he enjoys chat a lot and would demand attention from time-to-time. His presence is enlightening the mood in the facility.
