its a really good shot i like how you captured him in mid air but this really would have been awesome if you used the zoom lens but otherwise nice action shot

Thanks. Interesting. You are the second person mentioned to me about using a zoom. But, the truth is that I used a 75-300mm zoom for that shot. The reason why I didn't zoom in all the way is because, I wanted to keep most of the court in the shot, and show the exciting fans around the court... otherwise, that would have been just a boring shot of the mascot in mid air... rock on, man!

Thanks, but in any case, sports pics are very hard to take. For one, the action is non-stop, and you have to make sure everything is in focus and such. Plus, you also have to worry about low lighting too... sometimes I actually have to "compose" a shot in my head, and then try to do that for real... that mascot shot is one of those I actually "composed" in my head ahead of time.

yes sports shots are really difficult i gotta agree on that. thats alot of items to take in account for the perfect shot.
