Hi there,I wanted to do something challenging and this is my first try ever to create an animation.
I wanted to make a fighting pose motion of Lightning, but it should stay as simple as possible, so that it's still doable for me.
So the basic idea was 3 main motions.
1. swinging the blade infront of her
2. swinging the blade to the back of her head and taking it down
3. her cape goes from left to right and back to initial position.
This Animation of roughly 2 seconds consists of 29 frames that I draw.
You can see all 29 raw sketches with and without rough shading below.
I was happy about the result and you need a lot patience to create animation, that's for sure.
many hours were spent on drawing all 29 frames and a few hours editing them together on PC.

You are my hero! I've always wanted to try doing an animation like this (pencil animation), but I find it so overwhelming because my angles are pretty bad. >_<; Maybe one day when I feel motivated, I might try it.
I think this is really good for 29 frames! Really does come alive when all those frames work together. <3

hmmm... seems like u didn't learn animation b4...
all frames are of equal length (a.k.a. time)
in reality, the 'slashing down' part will be fast,and the keeping of the sword will be slower, and the frame usually freezes for awhile there before it reloops.

One problem, her sword is a giant butterfly knife so you forgot the whole folding/extend process
(i know because i have Duodecim, which is crap by the way, and if peoples gonna send me hate mail BUY THE GAME and within the first half hour you'll see what i mean)

Wow!! Really cool! The movement of the cape really helps the emphasis on the swinging of the weapon!
