To my wicked friends…

May I announce to you that my beloved shoes – the six year old, worn out Allstars – have had their time. From now on, they can dance around on the happy hunting-grounds, leaving behind them a trace of muddy footsteps.
I couldn’t just dump them in the trash, or leave them behind with the car… that’s why they can find peace now in my backyard. With my bare hands, I buried a grave for them, while these shoes did their last job as protection on my feet. Thanks to them, blood was stopped from flowing, nevertheless sweat and tears streamed down my face. Bare-footed I returned, remembering the carefree times where the Allstars guided me. Hard paths, soft roads, festival fields,…

Let them be a tribute for the creativity and insanity. They are the symbol of pure nonsense, of stupid lunacy.

Let us smile, giggle, chuckle, roar, snigger, roll on the floor, in our full remembrance, and for always, because that’s what they would have wanted.
