Teru's charm is as cute as his looks. Nevertheless, his harmless appearance does little to nothing to conceal his vain and conceited nature. Although his appearance captivates many, his distasteful pride in his appearance turns many people off. Not that he minds that though. 'Confidence is key,' his mother always told him. Being extremely self-assured, it's hard to really get under his skin. Irritation here and there is perfectly normal, but making the smug little bird snap takes a lot of work.
While he is quite self-absorbed, he does tend to fiddle around in other peoples' affairs. He's naturally very curious about other people and other things, however his curiosity can cross into just plain meddlesome. In addition, Teru is quite perceptive and insightful, and lucky for him (and unluckily for others) he can smell your thoughts from a mile away. At least, a lot of the times he can. Unless a person is extremely guarded, it won't take long for Teru to figure out what makes them tick.
Though nosy by nature, Teru is not necessarily open-minded to things. He's got his own set of prejudices and is quick to judge, and it isn't hard for him to bluntly point them out. His brutality is off the charts, but at least most of the time he's got the decency to understand when it's time to stop. Biography:
  Growing up an only child was both a blessing and a curse. Whilst both of Teru's parents showered him with affection and spoiled him to death whenever they were together, these sorts of moments happened not too often since they were both full time workers. Even with the companionship of a nanny in the house almost all the time, it wasn't the same as having his family together. He would much rather just be alone rather than spend time with his nanny. After all, it wasn't like he had many friends of his own to hang out with. Being small and quiet were just some of the things that just made him stand out very little in his elementary school. It wasn't like he was bullied for his feminine appearance, nor was he bullied for not speaking much. It was just that no one really seemed to be interested in him. Even so, he was very interested in everyone else. He just never had the courage to speak to them. Because of this, Teru had a lot of time to himself, and what was a little kid like him to do with no one his age to play with? Lucky for him, his house was huge, and he spent a lot of time investigating the nooks and crannies of the mansion.

  Exploring his house as usual, one day he found a collection of photos in his parents' bedroom, depicting a young girl, perhaps in her teens, posing gracefully and beautifully.
  "Mama, who's the girl in the pictures in your room?" he asked one night when his family ate dinner together. Surprised at his discovery, his mother answered him,
"Ah, well, that was me when I was younger."

  His father proudly explained that she was a former model in her teens to mid-twenties. Although Teru had always believed his mother was beautiful just like how any child would believe that their mother was beautiful, he was ecstatic at the news. "Why did you stop?" he asked her. Apparently taking time off to settle down and raise a family was not a good enough answer for him, and Teru would continue asking his mother if she would ever model again whenever he got the chance to. While his new discovery gave him a newfound respect for his mother's beauty, it also triggered something else in him. Realizing his mother was a model in the past, he was not hesitant to realize his own beauty. Many of his parents' friends had told him that he resembled his mother.

  Once Teru entered junior high, he desperately wanted to be able to have closer friends. Although his boost in confidence in his elementary days allowed him to befriend a few of his classmates, the attention wasn't enough for him. On his first day of school, his mother sent him off with a kiss on the cheek and advice that would last him throughout his middle school days: "Confidence is key." Although 12 year old Teru couldn't fulfill his mother's advice, he was much better off than in his elementary days.

It wasn't until his second year that he earned his nickname. In the period of time between first year and second year, Teru had grown increasingly confident, with the help of both his appearance and the support of his parents. Because of this newfound confidence, Teru was able to befriend many more people. The interest he had in people that he had developed in his younger years ended up developing into a meddlesome habit, and he couldn't help but keep himself informed about the latest gossip that he couldn't have gotten a hold of in his youth. Although it was natural to be a little nosy, what made Teru's habit worse was the fact that he actively sought out gossip and participated in it himself. He soon became known as a bird since he was most notorious for carelessly spreading rumors and telling other people's secrets (the name coming from the phrase 'a little birdy told me that ___'). Obviously he caught wind of his nickname fast, and although he was a little bit infamous, he still believed that any sort of attention was better than receiving none. His nickname was cute anyway.

Entering high school, Teru was even more bigheaded than he previously was. Although he did have several friends, he became increasingly disliked and his bad reputation was already established from his first day. It wasn't like he minded anyway. He became a little thick-skinned to those that didn't like him in middle school, and high school was no different. By the end of his first year of high school, Teru's parents decided to move closer to the city in order for his father to commute with more ease and Teru was transfered to Tachibana High. Will Teru continue his high school life in infamy or will he turn over a new leaf?
