"...the wave of undead seem to have no end. In the final rays of the sun, the centaur bellowed and reared on its hind legs, defiant to the end as he hefted his battle axe in the air; a final salute to his war gods. I can only whimper and cover my eyes in my hiding place as the pitch battle between the lone centaur and undead went on. The air reeked of death. The sound of blade connecting to bone and eventually, blade to flesh... were audible. It was then that I fainted as the sun finally dipped it's golden crown in the horizon.

I crawled out of my hole many hours later to the eerie silence of the bone-littered landscape. The legion of undead were nowhere to be found, as was the centaur. Had he overcome the undead horde? Or was he finally overwhelmed by the sheer number of his
foes, his carcass carried off by the mindless undead warriors to whoever dark wizard that commanded them?

Hours ago, I was the sole witness to something which my mind could not fully comprehend. As I trudged through the heaps of bone and broken skulls that littered the moonlit battleground, I can only muse in contemplation. I am but a meer merchant, and I know not of the mystical forces that have taken control of this land, but of one thing I am fairly certain: whatever it's fate may have been and whoever gods of war it may have worshipped, the centaur surely served them well today."
