Short Bio (if you dont wanna read through my mess of notes below lmao): A young naga who has lost his way, arriving in a modern civilization that has no use for the warrior class he had upheld. He turns to what he knows best- fighting and killing/doing the dirty work, but a small voice inside him calls out for him to indulge in the arts, knowledge/books, and the beauty of nature.

Bio:
- Family originated from a naga community near the Olmec/Toltec/Aztec civilization
- Were thought of as "Quezacoatl's minions" by the Aztecs and Toltecs and regularly visited by them
- in this case, Quezacoatl was just another naga in that community (a fearsome warrior when needed but nothing quite like the god that the Toltecs portrayed him as lmao. He was more of a crafter than anything tbh). So yes the naga of mesoamerica were taking advantage of their position as holy beings to gain praise, money, and comfort from the humans but it's not like they didnt give anything back either
- Since the humans respected the feathered serpent god they also respected the mesoamerican naga, had a mutually beneficial relationship where the Toltecs would provide them food/blood and the naga in turn provide them protection (Toltecs were fierce warriors in their own right but nothing quite strikes fear into a person's heart like a mythic half-snake hunter in their midst ewe)
- Anyways the Toltec Empire fell when northern nomads invaded (these nomads included the Aztecs) and drove the chief priest of quezacoatl/ruler of the toltec empire out
- the Aztecs proved to be far crueler and bloodthirsty than the toltecs were, and their chief god was huiziatlcophli, not quezacoatl
- a branch of the naga community became afraid that if they didnt become fierce and bloodthirsty too then they would be sacrificed or driven out next. Some naga who joined this divergent branch were bloodthirsty anyways and bored of this peaceful lifestyle
- lots of naga became classic warriors in the aztec army or joined the bloodthirsty cult of huizatocoatl instead driving up aztec intimidation factor as such
- many of the older gen saw the rise of a new gen of naga who were just as savage and bloodthirsty as the Aztecs in warfare
- Ichtaca was born to parents who lived in the last year of peace right before the northerners invaded and the bloodthirsty ideology took over the naga community
- his parents raised him as best as they could in the arts and nature and alchemy, but ultimately when they died he was enrolled as a soldier in the aztec army like all the other nagas
- at this point every single naga besides the one who represented quezacoatl and like 3 others had turned to the way of blood and war
- Ichtaca received a new name upon serving the aztec army and pledging allegiance to huitzaphotilic- xiuhcoatl
- the memory of the arts and natural world faded away from him until all he could focus on was battle strats, fighting styles, and blood
- when the aztec empire fell, he left for a new community, away from the cursed Spaniards and humans that had destroyed his civilization and its art
- that community was medeis

Xiuh is very loyal to those he serves. During his time in the expansionist Aztec empire, he served his ruler obediently and didnt hesitate to carry out whatever was asked of him. The same applies to Clades- whatever bloody task he feels that his role as a soldier can fulfill will be done to his best ability.
