A series of 10 sketches I contributed to the staff of Gem City Comicon, set for April 11th.

Gem City offers a special VIP package ticket for a select few attendees that includes several extras and premiums, including an original sketch from some of their featured guests. So 10 lucky people will go home with one of these

Each drawing was done on a comic book-sized board, specially printed with the sponsors' logos. The drawings were done with a ballpoint pen and enhanced with a brush pen, and finished off with a flourish of white gouache.

It was tough to choose 10 characters on a theme; I picked 10 different "occult" characters from DC Comics (some might argue over the choice of including Batman, but I think he's sufficiently dark).

In order: Swamp Thing, The Spectre, Raven, Doctor Fate, The Creeper, Batman, The Phantom Stranger, Deadman, The Demon, and Zatanna.

Runners-up were Tim Hunter, John Constantine, Martian Manhunter, Mister E, Doctor Occult, and Morpheus. maybe next time, fellas...
