Have fun, then. All of our snow has melted due to above normal temperatures...up to 20Β°F above normal over the last couple of weeks. At this time, it doesn't look like we will have much snow, if any, before Christmas. This is quite unusual for this location.....dry and windy. Maybe it will be white for New Years...

I fear that when the winter starts late it will last until June to compensate. I don't look forward to that at all

It happens sometimes. We have had blizzards in May on occasion here which can really mess up the farmers' crop planting.

I wouldn't be a farmer. It's hard to make a living if one depends on the weather . There is always something that can go wrong

That's for sure. It always a ''chance'' to be taken and hope for rain. I have a number of friends that farm as well as raise cattle. And, we have a number of dairy herds, too. But, our state produces the most hard red spring wheat and durum grains in the USA. We also have lots of other crops, too.

I love these unique-looking crystals you're getting! we don't get anything like that!

I have never seen them in real this way before. It's because it was very cold at night for a long time and cold enough during the day that they didn't melt. I think that's why they grew like this.
Thank you very much for looking

It was not very cold when I took the picture but very cold at night which of course was good to keep the crystals alive
