for shading i propose you draw solid shading and gaussian blur it (or blur)

I normally use that for backgrounds and stuff like it, I would have tryed it on this picture only I didn't make a "shading layer" like I normally do for it. All and all the shading in this picture was more of a trial version then anything else.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind, though I'm not really looking for crits. In most of my pictures I try a different style with something, this time was a different way of shading, I thought it turned out well despite being a little holy.

this is a comment not a critique but its good to experiment with styles.
if you never get critiques than you'll never know how good or bad your art is and how to improve the flaws.

That's understandable, and I understand crits can be a helpful thing, I'm just not really a huge fan of them.

it really depends the critic and the drawing, i for one am an EVIL critic you do NOT want me to critic something, I mean unless it's your best work and all. critics are evil depending on the quality of the drawing
and critic would definitely point out that the shading is shaky, nothing that you can't fix of course.
