Description
As practice for drawing heroic/mythic characters, I started working on redesigns of the cast of the He-Man/Masters of the Universe series.

Starting off is Orko; while he's comic relief in the series, I redesigned him to be more of a haunted, tragic figure. His backstory is still basically the same, though; a once great sorcerer from another world, who became trapped in a cosmic storm which nearly destroyed him. Since his spirit escaped to Eternia, he's now little more than a wraith, barely able to cast even the simplest incantations while manifesting the remains of his astral body beneath the tangled mess of his formerly elegant mystic robes and talismans.

Other than the shift in mood, I didn't want to change his overall look too much. The "O" symbol on his chest is now an amulet, similar to the redesign from the 2002 animated series, though a bit more basic in design. Since I reimagined him as more wraith-like, his blue "flesh" is now a stiched-together suit his spirit inhabits.
