This took way longer than it should've.
Anyway, a chibi rendition of Gumi Megpoid, who I am unclear as to who exactly owns her...(it's rather confusing)...!
She's a birthday gift for my sister, Claire.
shhh, don't tell her!
Her birthday's in a few weeks, but I got it done early!
Time: 5-6 hours OTL (almost as much time as this: [link] )
Materials: 0.3mm HB mechanical pencil, sketchbook, Paint Tool SAI, Photoshop CS5

Really? I'm only strong technically, and I barely make any full colour original pieces because I lack the will to actually carry out any of my ideas, and the ideas that I really like usually get lost somewhere in the depths of my head. X|
My only real artistic sort of talent is an eye for spatial relationships (which helps in composition and proportion, I suppose), and I have no clue how to put emotions and thoughts to a page (which I find is the most pure form of art).
I've always been envious of how original your work was and how popular you are.
I admire originality the most out of any trait in art.
Wait, I'm not sure whether you meant that bit as a compliment or not a compliment (tones are hard to register in internet-speak, not that I'm fluent with them IRL OTL).

I just sort of winged (haha winged XD) the composition, but now that I think of it, the wing is actually placed at the intersection of the lower third line and the left third line! Yay rule of thirds! X3

Well, you have a very original style (mine looks sort of like typical manhwa or something) and characters and stuff. ^^
Well, especially on your old account. You were always getting tons of favourites and pageviews a day, I think you got to 10,000 way before I ever got to 5,000 (but it's cool ^^).
I think I only have about 3-4 active watchers, and I only get about 2 or less comments on everything nowadays. >_<
Well, at least it means that a lot of people have cared, and those people usually continue getting more and more watchers, plus they have tons of comments and people who really care (my sister Claire is so obsessed with cartoongirl7 OTL she wants to be her). But, I do have my friends (like you!!!

I have an original style? O: I guess my style is a mix of anime/manga features, semi-realistic to manga eyes, and realistic anatomy. xD
Yours is original, too! 99/100 times I can tell when the piece is done by you.
On !LilacDevil , I was obsessseeeeddd with popularity... no joke. xD To get those pageviews, I traded millions of llamas and commented on a lot of stuff...
That's how I met every one of my dA friends! I found them all by browsing newest deviations on dA. I can remember a few I don't talk to... they don't go on dA anymore :/
Active watchers are really nice. I tip I've sworn by is submitting only one deviation a day, so I don't spam people. If you submit one every few days, they'll be more likely to comment ^,^
Well, it doesn't exactly mean that watchers care. I have watchers that have never commented, faved, or talked to me. They just watched me out of the blue, and stay silent like that O_O

Naw, it's not 'anime desu'. Personally, I like the more semi-realistic manga style. xD Which is why I use realistic anatomy. Sometimes I can't watch certain animes because of how much the anatomy bugs the crap out of me...
I guess I could say my style is semi-realistic, not even manga to say the least....

I'm kind of torn, I like the boldness of slightly more realistic manga styles, but I also like more manhwa (well actually it looks kind of like bishounen or something sometimes |D) and loli styles.
So I have no clue what to do.
If an anime makes the same mistake over and over, or I just can't stand the style, I won't watch it. But usually, I won't even pay attention. XD
