First things first, this is an amazing shot with an outstanding atmosphere! Very gloomy and scary forest with the dense mist in the air therefore making this image your ideal dream forest scape. I think it works well in black and white, with a slight sepia tone? might just be my eye's playing tricks on me.
The only real critique I have is that there seems to be quite a bit of noise, mainly in your shadows though so you don't really notice unless you seek out to look.
All in all, I like this shot and think you've captured it fantastically well in stunning conditions!

Drew pretty much said it all for me. The noise though, is a bigger issue for me. It is pretty noticeable throughout most of the image, can I ask what ISO you were set to?

This scis beautiful in every way but it also has a sort of malevolent and brooding feel to it as well which makes me love it even more
