Agh, I've been looking to find someone with the Canon EF 70-200 f/4L USM forever. I'm considering getting this lens, but I'm worried about all the reviews saying you need a tripod to get good, focused pictures. I'm not sure if I should save up almost double the price for the IS. What's your take on it?

I've been using this lens for a couple years now and never used a tripod with it, even in low light at 200mm. I use it mostly for live music photography or indoor sports and never had a problem. I hope this helps you making the right choice! (;
