Description Rosie and Miss Rayon
They're busy waiting for her booster
Who just got back from Carolina
She said she didn't like the weather
They're busy waiting for her sailor
Who's big and dressed in pink and leather
He's just here from Alabama
He wants to know a way to earn a dollar
I'm searching for my mainer
I said I couldn't hit it sideways
I couldn't hit it sideways
Aw just like Sister Ray said

Lou Reed - Sister Ray

Thanx Megan. I had "Dead Ringers' on my list of movies that I haven't seen in awhile and I thought "hey...I wonder if anyone will notice if I borrow that title?"

I'm still learning how to get the hang of these texture overlays so perhaps your right. I'll know in a couple of months when I take a fresher look at it

I just watched the movie Party Monster with Macaulay Culkin, and when I look at this photo I can't help but to think he's one of the characters in the movie. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it

Fabulous. Love the outfit. It reminds me a little of Rocky Horror, which is funny, because I think Tim Curry covered that song at some point in the 70s.

One thing though... I find the line running down the far left a little distracting. But that's probably just me.

Thanx Corinna. He used to do the Frankenfurter role at the midnight show of Rocky Horror in NYC so he'll be happy to hear that.

I really like this a lot. It's different and I am immediately drawn to it. I think his attitude is perfect and so is his outfit. The treatment you gave this photo fits the mood perfectly as well. There's a lot of good things happening here. I like this a lot

Thank you Katerina. It's hard to get your friends to 'act up' once the camera is on them, but your right, this one has attitude to spare

Odd. I now know it's Reed (as originally produced by Velvet Underground), but I only know the Cowboy Junkies version (from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack).

Love the genderf*ck.

BaddogLtd In reply to slooo12 [2007-10-29 02:57:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah it's weird. I've always known the Velvet Underground version and the lyrics never matched up with the Junkies version, so I figure they re-wrote part of it. Than right before I posted the link I took a look through my Velvets collection and sure enough there's a live version that the Junkies chose to cover instead of the more well known studio version. Good choice on their part

I will have to go back and listen to the studio version. I love the CJ's version. VERY sad/cool.

I'm planning something out similar, but this is just amazing, in the sense that when it was taken there was plenty to think of, and you can see it all in this one second, working well with the past, like I assume your image might be trying to do..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BaddogLtd In reply to Gruye [2007-10-29 03:16:32 +0000 UTC]

Thanx Taylor. Yeah...working with the past. Someone pointed out to me that the only continuity in my work is that all of it seems nostalgic. Which I O.K. with me. Funny thing is when your nostalgic for times you didn't live through. I'm sure I get most of it wrong whether it's the noir 40's or the grungy New York of the early 70's. But it's fun to try

I have the same problem as well, or perhaps, not exactly a problem, but perhaps a learning process, either way, I love the way somethings turn out, and when your shooting for one thing, another comes out, so in turn, it has something to do with this subject as well, it just the most amazing process.

Gritty, mister. Very gritty. I feel slimy for even viewing it!

Just finished watching Planet Terror and this is the sort of style that was maintained throughout the entire film. It was awesome!
