I love Jensen/Cougar since seeing the movie and have not (yet) read the comic. Can you tell me the context of the enthusiastic Cougar hug? I'd LOVE to know.

Clay ordered the team to stay put but Cougar didn't listen to him and he shot a guy, causing the badguys to know they were there and Jensen got caught. The others thought he was dead and Cougs was upset cause he thouht he got his best friend killed. Then Jensen showed up and saved the day, hence the very enthusiastic hug.

Joined just so that I could say that I was thinking the exactly same thing when watching the movie--the slash truly does write itself! And I loved this moment in the comic...esp the panel before when Jensen asks Cougar why he's looking at him like that.

The slash DOES write itself! I mean, c'mon! The moment Jensen reappears after they think he's dead, Cougar HUGS him! I completely died at that moment.
The other hug killed me too, but for a different reason.
