No, see Watson just wants to be left alone with his beloved Mary. Holmes is the one who needs the fangirls to love him, because he loves to hear how pretty he is, and how brilliant he is--he needs people to feed his ego. So while Watson is planning to murder the oncoming horde of fans, Holmes is planning to thwart Watson's scheme thereby taking all the fun out of the whole thing.
