For the most part no, but there can be. I believe there's medication to take that corrects eye problems. At the beginning of Wrath of Khan its mentioned that Jim is allergic to the treatment so Bones actually gives 'antique' glasses. Gotta admit though glasses on Spock sounds hot. I think I might have to draw my own version
