It is natural for Dems to win seats back on the following midterm. On the midterm after Obama's election, Reps won back 68 seats. What did the Dems win back, 26 or so? And they lost 4 or 5 seats in the Senate, maybe more depending of recounts.
And as far as admitting defeat in an election, are you suggesting liberals did so after getting smashed in 2016??? Right. . .

I don't like the dems, or liberals for a matter, but I find it quite ironic how most right wingers were screeching about a red wave only to get that idea thrown away by a minor dem victory.
They should have owned up to what caused them defeat in 2016. Running Hillary and not pushing for things like Medicare for all and affordable college etc.

I can accept that, but it was actually a victory for the Repubs because no legislation can pass unless the senate approves it, and when Ginsburg takes a dirt nap, ( she already fell a few days ago and broke some bones) it's an assured appointee to the supreme court next time around with the added senate seats.
