Petey had spent the majority of his morning casing The Nook. Of course, he didn't know that's where he was, nor did he realize he was casing the place, really. He was simply looking for a way to get in.
He tried throwing rocks at the windows--maybe they'd break! He tried opening the little door again, and even the big door too, but to no avail. He tried climbing up onto the planter boxes in attempts to reach the roof, but all his efforts failed!
Eventually, Petey heard a sound at the front of the building. He rounded the corner at lightning speed before stopping dead in his tracks and hiding. Someone was here...
A tall wyngro with a red bandana and shawl came out of the big door with a couple other wynglings at her feet. She looked around suspiciously before calling out, "Hello? Is anyone out here?"
She paused and Petey held his breath.
"Another wyngling said they saw somebody out here," she continued. "It's alright. You can come in; you don't have to hide."
On the contrary: He had to hide! Or else, what was the point? Plus, it made things much more fun this way!
Petey smirked from around the side of the building as the wyngro retreated back through the door before a wave of dread hit him. Wait, should he try and catch the door before it closes?
It was too late now; with a click, Petey's only way in was sealed shut... He sighed, exasperated. Great...
It was another 30 minutes before the front door swung open again. This time, a pink gro wearing the same colors as the last one came out, more wynglings bouncing around at her feet. They quickly dispersed in their play and Petey watched them all with eager excitement. He glanced towards the door again and found it was still open. Now he was faced with a dilemma: Should he go play with the other children or sneak inside?
Rrrrrrgh... Petey grumbled under his breath irratibly. Rather quickly though, he made up his mind. He would sneak inside--then go play with the wynglings afterwards.
All decided, Petey sprinted for the door, breaking from his cover at the side of the building and streaming across the open field, much like the brimbees he'd been chasing. He made it safely to the entrance, chuckling triumphantly before striking a pose and declaring to anybody listening on the other side, "I have arrived!"
The wyngro with the bandana looked at him with mild astonishment, along with several wynglings that came out into the hallway from seperate rooms. Wow, Petey thought to himself. There sure are a bunch of kids here.
The bandana wyngro introduced herself as Alma, the hatcherie mom of the Nook--whatever that meant--and calmly escorted Petey to a different room where they were all alone. She sat patiently behind a desk and waited for Petey to climb onto the seat across from her. Once she had his attention, more or less, she asked him a few questions.
"Hello there," she told him warmly. Petey was too preoccupied with his new surroundings to acknowledge her greeting. She smiled a little, then asked, "What's your name, dear?"
Petey glanced at her from the corner of his eye, smiling a little wider before propping his elbow on the table and extending his other paw to her. "The name's Petey P.--or Petey, whichever. How do ya do?"
Alma blinked once or twice before she happily shook his hand, a little confused, albeit glad to meet him. "Very good, thank you. How are you?"
"I'm great," Petey yelled, tossing his head back and gazing at the room again. "This place is aweeesome!"
Alma laughed quietly before straightening up a little, "Petey, where'd you come from, sweetheart?"
"Oh I came from the forest oveeeer..." Petey pointed at the wall behind Alma. "That way! I was chasing these crazy pink things with necks this long! And they sounded crazy too, kinda like birds, but different! They were really cool actually, but boy, were they fast! I was trying to keep up with them but..." Petey slowed his rambling when he noticed a knot form in Alma's brow. "But I got tired," he finished resolutely, leaning his cheek on his hand and watching her, a little bored.
"I see," Alma said, writing a couple things down on a sheet of paper in front of her. Petey watched the pencil quietly until Alma asked him one more question. "What about your parents?"
"What about 'em?" Petey asked right back, sincerely.
    "Well, where are they?"
"Oh, I don't have any!" Petey stated simply, then flopped his arms out across the table. "Can I go play with the other kids now?"
Alma watched him sympathetically, tapping the end of her pencil a couple times before letting him go and watching him zoom out of the room, down the hall. She returned to writing on her paper:

        Name: Petey P.
        Age:
Previous Residence: Wynsiph forest (Fickle Forest?)
        Parents: Unknown

She suppressed a sigh, staring hard at the paper. This "Petey P." fella sure was a mystery...

Wow wow wow, what a story! I hope y'all enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoy writing them! It's really nice to have another place to let my writing urges out.  Petey's officially a part of The Nook now, and you know what that means? Anyone can interact with him! He's a very friendly guy so don't be shy! Plus, his story/plot is going to be really freeform right now--so something you do is bound to effect something I do~~
    Enjoy!

Petey belongs to me!
Alma (mentioned) is a Wyngro NPC, and belongs to the group!

~~If you would like to draw your gro interacting with Petey, feel free to! But be aware, Petey acts just as any other person would when meeting new people. Every interaction prompts a reactions, and I will most likely draw a response to whatever you've depicted! Petey's always on the look out for new friends, so don't be shy!~~
