On Saturdays, I’ve decided to look at other artists whose work I admire. The pencil sketches above are based on Kenneth Scott Hepburn’s work. Haven’t gone into much detail as his work tends to primarily be finished in ink but just enough to outline the muscle groups etc. So here I’ve just focused on the anatomy work and the foreshortening. I don’t think this guy gets enough recognition for how good his grasp of anatomy is. Perhaps this is because his style contains a lot of movement, similar to James Harren and many manga artists. I think his comic art is some of the most dynamic out there.
