As much as I love doing commissions because it gave me a chance to develop a steady process, it doesn't really let me relax because I have to try and make everything clean and pretty for the person who commissioned me.

So for this painting, I just went all out and gave in to total abandon. It was amazing stress relief but I think the painting ended up looking too cluttered LOL. And I have no idea what those glowing things are but they were really fun to paint at the time Maybe they're luminous fish >.<

BTW, I love mermaids. If I would be given the chance to meet a mythical creature, I'd pick mermaids. Something about them just inspires me.
