inspired from my most favorite gundam title. Actually it's also their cameo scene in build fighters that inspired me to draw this. Hope you guys like it.

That is a different application of the meaning of the word. The original definition is not so different though.

yeah, from the moment the kampfer first engaged the alex gundam, the show gives us second thoughts of which side to root for. There's this subtle message that the gundam is definitely not playing the good role or showing that heroic image it used to bear just like from the previous or alternate title(particularly the ones like seed and wing). Nor does not glorify the violence by making fights as flashy as possible, instead they wanted to show us that it was really an inevitable resort. This is huge impact especially for al, who views war as some kind of game. He, more than anyone else should be happy to see a real gundam or a zeon suit in action. But what did he get? Β Β

Yes, the plot totally puts you in the zeon's soldier shoes. The kampfer was awesome, too (it's one of my favorite zeon mobilesuits)
That makes me think, What if Al grew up and became a Federation soldier?

I'm not sure if he'll join the federation or zeon but if by chance. Considering the scars he had, he might become a cold heart soldier on the outside, but a compassionate guy on the inside. I'm not really sure about that

For sure it would be shocking for him to fight every zeon/neo zeon mobile suit feeling that the soldier inside could be another Bernie

just as bernieΒ said, never bear a grudge against the enemy. They are just like him, doing what they is right. If al believes that what he's been doing is right, then perhaps....
