Been working on this aircraft concept on and off for way too long. I guess it's as complete as it'll ever get.

The AV-26B kestrel tiltjet aircraft was designed to transport a section of marines through contested airspace, clear a landing zone, insert the troops and stay on to provide close air support. Equipped with an inflight refueling probe, it can self-deploy to areas far from the carriers from which it operates. Its swept wings and 4 GE-F130 medium bypass turbofans allow it to achieve high subsonic speeds, while the generous dihedral makes it an extremely stable weapons platform from which it can unleash a hail of anti-armor guided missiles or 30mm chain gun rounds.
