Description

So apparently, back in medieval times, people used to believe that all geese are “born” from goose barnacles (sessile crustaceans vaguely resembling the eponymous birds’ heads) through some sort of bizarre metamorphosis. Furthermore, barnacles themselves were also believed to grow on trees – being either fruits of said trees or some kind of parasites. By now, this whole speculative “life cycle” may sound utterly ridiculous – but to be honest, I find it pretty cool nonetheless.

So here is my speculation on how the familiar fowl would look like in case if it actually did develop from this peculiar crustaceans.
