Description
A scene from my story . A third chapter of it, to be more precise.
Once upon a time, a planet by the name of Creacon was considered a Universal Capital and the hub of all cosmos – but after the events of the Great War one billion years ago, it was ravaged and left behind. Consequently, most of the portal gateways leading to it were abandoned as well – and so, due to lack of maintenance and some particularly strange glitches that happened in their circuitry, many of them had swollen and enlarged to the absurd sizes.
Eventually, entire cities surrounding them (mostly deserted too) had gradually slipped inside – and thus ended up on the lands of the Creacon, layered and converged on top of one another. And since most of their building had inbuilt self-repairing machineries, they didn’t collapse – but merged instead, forming those bizarre architectural amalgamations vaguely visible in a distance!
By now, most of the Creacon surface is covered by such drifting ruins, pulled together from the different places and at different times. This gave the Capital it current moniker – “The History Dump” – and also made it a pretty popular place among traveler and relic hunters.
As well as those who are willing to ambush and loot them, of course…
