Description

A peculiar sea creature found primarily in warmer parts of the Marginal Ocean, but also in some other waters in the eastern part of Human Realm.

It’s a sea squirt (sessile marine invertebrate) that forwent its ancestral filter-feeding in favor of much more active predatory lifestyle. By modifying its pharynx into a primitive suction pump, it can vacuum prey – usually small fish – into its mouth, before crushing it with its disturbingly human-looking teeth, which are actually mineralized outgrowths of their tunic. They can grow up to a meter in length, and it’s advised to not shove your limbs into of their orifices by any means!
