Foden is a young Harris Hawk.
He is the brother of one of my Harris Hawks (Clayton) and was trained by a friend of mine who volunteers at the bird of prey centre I work at.
Recently, my friend gave me some wonderful gifts. No reason, just because he could. I figured this kindness should be repaid, so I did this picure of his beloved boy for him!

I absolutely love your pencil pictures!
They look so realistic o.o
It really makes one think about the details of the animal's shape.
For example the small feathers on the cheek and the transitioning of texture on the beak.

I will admit that doing closeups like this, you learn about silly little details in an animals' face that you otherwise wouldn't have noticed. (You also learn that some textures are easier to replicate than others. This bird is much softer and floofier than I've made him appear! XD)

Eeee thank youuu! I thought the feathers would be a pain (juvenile harris hawk markings are very awkward XD) but it actually turned out to be a ton of fun!

It must look amazing! It's a shame scanners flatten the metallic/shiny look of things like ink and even coffee, because it looks great in real life. I went through a stage in college of just pouring gold ink onto canvas because I loved how shiny it looked
