Description
Ichigo, Rukia and Renji where walking to school like the always did, together, Rukia and Renji where from the same orphanage, until a very rich family came and adopted Rukia. So Rukia and Renji were pretty close already. Ichigo knew that they had a ruff childhood but didn’t know all the details.
“Did you finish the math homework?” Rukia asked
“Yeah.”
“Yeah.”
“That’s good…Renji you need to get your grades up if you want to get in to a good university.”
“When did you start caring about how Renji does in his studies?”
“I have always cared how you guys do in school, I have just yet to voice my care.”
Ichigo nodded his head, with some sort of understanding, but he really didn’t.

The walked for a while down the back ally way, and caught up with Chad and Orihime.
“Hay guys what’s up?”
“Nothing…just discussing last night’s math homework.” Orihime said to Ichigo. They laughed
“I don’t get it.”

They all got to school, and class started. Renji sat at his desk head in his hand thinking about something other than what the teacher was trying to teach. He was thinking about Rukia. He had been doing this more and more. He had known her since she came to the orphanage, and they were friends ever since. When Rukia was adopted by the prestigious family, it tore him up inside that she wasn’t with him. He felt some sort of responsibility for her. But she left and lives with the family. They wanted her to go to a privet school, but she insisted that she went to a public school. He had watched her grow up from a silly tom boy in to a young woman. She went from wearing shorts and tennis shoes to dresses with matching sandals. She had become more than a friend he would do anything for her, except she didn’t know…yet. There was a dance coming up and he didn’t know if he should ask her out or not, he expected that she was going to go anyway.
In the mean time while Renji was thinking about a potential relationship with Rukia. Rukia was slipping Ichigo a note. ‘do you want to go to that dance with me?’ he read, grinded a little and wrote his response. ‘sure’ he wrote back and passed it back
Rukia smiled and resumed taking her notes. Lunch time rolled around and everyone sat ate there lunch. Except Rukia sat next to Ichigo. She usually sat next to Orihime and Renji. Nobody really noticed except Renji. She used to trade food with him. “Ichigo do you want my pudding…?” she asked him.
He looked at her, and smiled “Yeah…I do.” He said taking the cup of pudding. They touched fingers and both smiled to them selves.

School had ended and Rukia, Renji and Ichigo were walking home from school. Rukia walked inbetween Renji and Ichigo. “…so Rukia, what are your plans for the dance? Are you going to go?” he asked
“Yeah, I’m going…are you?”
“Thought I might…” he said “Wanna go with me?”
“…Thanks Renji but I already have a date…maybe the next dance…” she said with a smile.
“Oh…okay that’s cool.” He said and he stayed quite pretty much the rest of the way back to his home.
“See you later Renji…” Ichigo said to Renji.
“…later.” He said over his shoulder.
“Do you think he knows?” Rukia asked
“Nah…he has no idea.” Ichigo said pulling Rukia by the waste next to him.
Rukia just giggled he walked her back to her house.
