Description
Katara and Zuko were in the middle of there courtship waiting for the date of there wedding to come. They would spend dinners together and long evenings and then spend sometimes weeks away from each other. On a particular warm spring night after dinner Zuko took Katara out to the garden to sit and talk and discuss what had been going on since the last time they had seen each other.

Katara told Zuko about how her students were progressing and how much the southern water tribe had grown and been rebuilt. Zuko discussed some new polices that were pushed through and how he was opening new schools in some of the poorer districts of the fire nation. During the discussion Katara looked in to the empty garden.

“Something wrong?” Zuko asked looking at Katara
“Just thought I saw something.” Katara said just as the words left her mouth a small flying thing lit up again.
“What is that…those things?”
“Fireflies.” Zuko said “You will know its summer time in the Fire Nation when the Fireflies come out. Katara giggled.

10 years later, the Fire lord and his now wife Katara were sitting in the garden after dinner, with there five year old son. This had become a tradition for the royal family since Katara and Zuko’s engagement, actually before. They would talk about things and feed the new family of turtle ducks. Again on a particularly warm spring night when the fireflies came out.

“Look!” he said “what are they?” he looked up at Katara
“Fireflies…you know its summer time in the Fire Nation when the fireflies come out.” She said
