Description I haven't done a "long drawing" - drawing to actually produce a finished drawing - in a long time. This is sort of like getting back to my roots. I enjoyed it immensely.

I don't know what episode the screenshot was from, but the last couple times I saw the Doctor get the yo-yo out (i.e. Kill the Moon) it had to do with gravity. So.

Going to start actually knitting a scarf soon. =3

This is on 9"x12" paper, sketched in HB .5mm mechanical pencil and finished in 2B .5mm mechanical pencil.Β

Love the way you shaded the scarf and hair. They have the perfect amount of texture.

That scarf is 12 feet of pure garter stitch. I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks! Β This drawing really made me love pencil work again.

I've scaled down the scarf pattern slightly because I want to actually wear it a good bit and don't want to trip or choke myself. So... only 8ft of pure garter stitch. I'm about 10" in already!Β

I think Tom Baker was the first doctor that I grew up with . Great rendering of him !

Thank you! He was the first Doctor I saw as well. Recently become a favorite.

Thanks for the fave!

I've been watching the classic episodes on Amazon and keep looking to see the yo-yo again (or any other odd thing that's pulled out of his pockets!)

hah I swear his pockets are probably like D&D'S bag of ultimate holding. Kinda like the Tardis. Small on the outside, bigger on the inside.
