murder(?): mori is one of the very last people killed in the dangan ronpa killing game, with his murder coming shortly after the deaths of kabo hisamatsu (ultimate fry cook) and fumiko honda (shsl esthetician). mori is killed by his girlfriend, setsuko, after discovering that she was the one who conspired to kill the previous two students, and was more or less the most prominent factor in their passing. as well,, its revealed to mori around this time that setsuko is a spy, reporting all information that she had gotten on the students back to junko enoshima and monokuma. learning all of this led mori's trust of setsuko to completely dissolve, and he threatened to rat her out to the rest of their group. however, if setsuko was to be found out, this would lead to her death, so in a last-ditch attempt to save herself, she lured mori into a hug and stabbed him in the stomach with a knife. she apologized, before laying him down on the ground and making a run for it. mori eventually passed away before anyone could find him and treat him, with his internal bleeding being too excessive.
