For them, only their relationship to each other existed and was extremely important. Anxious, tender, cautious attitude. For those who understand, testifying to the depth of feelings and emotions is much more complete than any other evidence.
How much they stood there, in this quiet room, neither Liara nor Jane remembered. Too much, they both changed their minds in those minutes. Too much felt and felt. The echo of love sounded in their souls. That showless, true, deep love that once tied them together on the first Normandy and then spent, helped to survive and survive in the crucible of the galactic Confrontation.
