New scanner fren has arrived, yay for two day shipping :3 It did a pretty decent job on this, all things considered.So yeah here's this ridiculous thing I drew up on a whim without really thinking too hard about it LOL
That said for as silly as this design is I kinda like it? Thought about naming them Cassiopeia but honestly I'm still not entirely sure if I want to keep the character to begin with xD
Oh well, hope y'all like it. :3 Feels good to have something colored up.

That's the plan! Right now I've got a nice little pile of sketches and linearts of my characters that I'm hoping to get up this summer.
There have been a lot of changes in my life over the last two years or so and I think they've really helped me find some measure of confidence in my art again, so I'm pretty happy to be active in this community again <3

I am so happy to hear you are confident again, tho it amazes me you'd lose some in the first place. You're so damn talented ! Not just your drawing skill but your coloring and your art especially makes me happy because traditional media is still my favorite but not many artists really use it anymore these days. I know digital is cheaper but I just find traditional so much nicer (and I like holding originals) XD

I can't speak for others but I'm happy to see you around again. Your personality was always fun to read aside from the art itself. hehe.

Hhh well I know I'll sound a tad bitter with this but I had to deal with the entirety of my family telling me "you'll never have a career in art" and telling me I couldn't go to college for it and hearing that constantly from people I loved was pretty soul-crushing. It did ultimately end with me giving up the art dream and failing college without even declaring a major. And yeah, obviously the resentment is still there but I'm trying to move past it and this feels like a good early step :>
And I know what you mean with the traditional art! I see so little of it now that I'm back- even artists I used to follow for their traditional work seem to have swapped to digital. :< Not that I dislike it by any means, but it will never hold the same appeal to me, y'know? xD

Haha, I say silly mostly because I didn't put much thought into it. xD I usually like to focus more onΒ a character's features than /just/ colors and markings. Thank you though, I'm glad you like it! <3
