He looks as if he is asking you what you are doing in the picture.Β Oort is very focused on you.Β He reminds me of my Siamese I have right now.Β He watches everything that I do.Β You cannot even cook without him over your shoulder.Β Oort is very beautiful.Β I have never had a Bengal savannah kitty before.Β I know you enjoyed him very much.

Haha yes, i think that may have been within a day or two of his arrival here. Oort was very beautiful, although not in fact all that graceful
He was too much cat for us, though! An F4 i think; we ended up with another Bengal savannah, an F5, who lived with us for quite a long time.

It does capture the intensity in his eyes.
Best thing about cats (IMO): the way their attention shifts from "just a breathing rug" to "complete focus", making them lively on/off presences and occasional obsessive. And as your pic captured, they do look at things with wide open eyes.
Big plus for his name, was he a spaced-out cat?Β Β

Glad you had this second thoughts. Oort cloud and all? You could have named him Eris, Makemake or Phobos or even TNO and I'd still get the reference...Β
No idea what we'll call ours, my man wants a cat and dog and hens once we move in/on the island. Previous family cats were named "Cannelle" ("Cinnamon") and "Pepsi". There was a short-lived "Romeo" who loved hot car engines and wheel-pits too much for his own sake...
You know I'll make "experiments" with training the dog, see what you can bring such a cooperating animal to do ( and no, that's nothing weird I'm thinking of, just reaching the limits of their natural instincts), but I'll sure enjoy just watching the cat master his new kingdom.

Dog training - look for videos by The Dog Whisperer.
Island - we don't let dogs out except on the leash, because of the wolves. The cats also stay indoors all the time, partly because they kill too much wildlife (they are not, after all, native...), partly because of diseases like FIV and Feline leukemia, and partly because the lifespan of an outdoor cat here is very short, maybe a couple of years. Wolves, ticks, other cats, aliens in tiny chocolate helicopters...
you're so going to love the country!
