Personality:
Outgoing, friendly, and always eager to please others, a combination that boils together to form an over-enthusiasm for his job as a courier. Jay truly enjoys doing his job delivering parcels through the Astrarium, especially if he has the time for a quick chat with the recipients, even if they may not be so eager as he is to do so.

He isn't very good at hiding his own emotions, even as hard as he might try to do so. Naive to a fault, Jay is quick to trust others and often doesn't recognize when he is being used or mocked by them.

However despite his usual outgoing nature he finds himself to be rather nervous around strangers and anyone of a higher rank which generally expresses itself through poor volume control when he speaks to them and talking far too much, often stumbling over his words to the point of being unintelligible. This more often than not simply leads to them finding him to be quite the annoyance, though Jay often fails to catch on to this.

History:
Jay grew up on Unum alongside his parents, a pair of tailors who managed to etch out enough of a name for themselves to live in what would surely be a modest home for the island. An energetic and flighty child, they did their best to teach him the trade, but their lessons more often than not ended up with him wandering off when they weren't looking to find something more interesting to do. Usually his disappearances would turn to him seeking out his childhood friend Arcturus to drag off on an adventure around the island. These adventures often did not get them very far under the seemingly ever present gaze of Arcturus's Coment mother, who seemed to have an innate knowledge of when Jay was about to drag her son off to some misadventure.

As Jay grew older a friend of the family suggested the job of courier to him and his parents as a means to funnel his energy and desire to wander around the islands to a constructive use. Under the tutelage of this family friend Jay learned quickly, nurturing a strong passion for his new job as it allowed his usually outgoing and energetic nature an outlet.
