Description No ponies today. So have another collection of random aircraft doodles that scratched out while on breaks and lunches at work. All of these quick sketches just started as few random lines I threw down on a piece of paper. Then I stared at them and imagined what they might be. I had no clear ideas of what they would evolve into I just went with the flow and let my imagination wander.

Top right reminds me of a PBY-5 Catalina, but in actual fact I think it's a Boeing 314 Clipper. I think...

Very, very nice! My personal favorite is the one in the bottom right-hand corner, because of its originality, but they're all extremely good!

You mean the twin-engine light-transport/ bush airliner?

Bottom left looks so slick.Β  Now I gotta dream of making a rc model out of that.

Top right looks like it flew straight out of Porco Rosso. Β Nice 1920s flying boat.

Top center could be a cross between a PT-19 and a Spacewalker (or Fly Baby).

Yeah the flying boat would fit in just fine there!

Center left reminds me of the Reggio racers from the 1930's.

That one on the upper left looks like someone slapped a cockpit into the nosecone of a Navajo missile.

Yeah it turned out like one of those early 1950's proposed short-ranged, point defense interceptors that would launch from a zero-length launcher to intercept incoming Soviet bombers.

The jet in the upper left looks to be little more than engine, fuel tank (in the fuselage) and cockpit. It's a classic concept.

The addition of the ventral rudder on the flying boat in the top-right is a rather clever idea; give the aircraft an effective way to maneuver on the water other than adding/reducing power between the two engines. The aircraft below it looks like something you might see at an air race (the ones that don't use refurbished WW2 fighters, that is).
