As far as 2D goes, I'm mostly self taught. I took a few fine arts courses when I was really really young, and my high school had some great foundations courses. But mostly its just from years of practicing---I know its a cliche to say but I've been drawing since I was able to pick up a pencil.

I went to college for 3D animation---that's where my knowledge of Maya comes from .
