Oh man. Notch, looking back on everything this I suspect this is going to be one of those decisions that you're going to greatly regret. Sure Hero probably wouldn't be happy to see you, but you're literally gambling with his life here. Are you actually putting your own discomfort over your brother's LIFE? What sort of sibiling ARE YOU?!?!
...I'm putting my money on Hero getting mauled and then (probably) saved by Steve and Friends. Likely with a side of angst

So Vile is really concerned about Hero, more than hero's own brother it seems. Herobrine is in an actual bad position No ally, weakened during the day, no doubt they will try to kill when he is weak, with such flaw even if they had a lot of chance to kill him at his highest in the shadows, they will take all the chances and get him to the light. Vile survived because of his power, I highly doubt hero will survive the blow if it happens while he is trapped under the daylight.
Also, with this page I'm almost sure that Vile x Herobrine will become a thing for the fangirls, I can already sense it.
