She comes off sweet because she is, however Midori has a really bad truthfullness habit, she doesn't like to lie and this can come accross to others as rude sometime when she says something that may hurt their feeling or not want to be heard, however what she says isn't always bad and could make someone actually feel happy too. She is charismatic but she can get stubborn and restless, she can't stand having to be told to sit still or do something she doesn't like and will bail as fast as she can or find something else to do if it helps.
She can be a little naive and not know she's doing something wrong when she is, this makes it hard for her to understand if she has offenended someone or said something that doesn't make sense or isn't understandable.

History:

Midori was always trouble for her father, always restless, always stubborn and always running off without his permission or just to annoy and get his attention when she wanted it, to put it simply she was a brat. She hated when her parent split up, but she lived with her father after that and always behaved sweetly loving all the attention he gave her, especially since she didn't have to compete for it.
However after a few years her father started dating and met a women who he married later on, but worst of all to Midori was when she found out she was going to have a little brother. She never liked it when that 'lady' got all of his attention but with the new baby on the way she felt pushed aside even more and very jealous. When school started for her she felt good for a while, she felt fine with the fact that she didn't get all his attention because she had her friends, but they slowly started to avoid her because of her naive truthfullness which hurt most of their feeling or viewed her as rude.
When she finally reached the age to work she got a job determined to finde her own place to live away from her family, but when she was hired as a waitress at the cafe she started to liven up once more with all the other workers there and things didn't seem so bad, she started to let her family back in and found she actually loved her step mother and little brother very much and her job just as much.
