Backstory: When guilders are created, they don't automatically go to the NWG; a lot of times, they'll usually wander around and live with or near humans, or just wherever, until either they find the Guild or the Guild finds them. This is where you put what they did before they joined the NWG.
"My past?? I don't really like talking about it, but... Alright, I'll tell you. But don't tell anyone, okay?"
Flora's 'birth' alone caused the growth of a big forest and the development of a striving village. The forest was her home, and it taught her how to maintain her powers. Almost from the start, Flora knew she was a 'guilder'. She was highly aware of the neighboring villages depending on her for survival. Her home was massive compared to the villages surrounding it. The center of the forest was a large sequoia tree which towered over the trees in the forest. The villagers of Flora's land had never come close to seeing her, but they did believe there was a deity of sorts watching over them. As a result, they would take time to celebrate their guardian for successful crops and healthy life. When Flora heard of this, she became overwhelmed with joy. Who were these people that sacrificed some of their crops for the guardian? Sometimes she ventured out of the center of the forest to view her people closer. Although they interested her, she never got too close to them.
Once upon a time there was a young man who decided to explore the deep parts of the forest. The boy was a hunter who was attempting to hunt fauna for his village. Flora used her wits to avoid him at all costs, even attempting to drive him out. But the hunter boy was as smart as her. He endured everything Flora threw at him. In fact, it was more of a game between the two rather than a fight. At the end of their little game of cat and mouse, the hunter had finally cornered the guardian. He'd decided he would win her friendship. So day after day, the hunter would meet up with Flora in the forest and keep her company. Flora ended up getting very attached to him, feeling impatient every time he left. One day, the adults of the hunter's village found out he was distracting a god from her duties and sought to separate them. Flora wouldn't allow that, and used her power to trap the hunter in the forest. She couldn't bear to be alone once again. Desparate and confused, Flora grew a tree around the hunter. This immediately killed him, and when the guardian had known what she'd done, she abandoned her people in fear of herself and them.
Soon enough, Flora found the Guild. At first she was terribly shy but she figured out the guilders were similar to her in a way, and she grew close to them.
