History:
The earliest of Yuka's memories were spent either within a simple white room or watching others from a distance. Because she was born prematurely, she faced many health complications that impacted her severely. The adults worried for a small child such as herself, thus Yuka was often kept indoors under close surveillance. By the age of two, she was diagnosed with Common Variable Immunodeficiency Disorder(CVID) via a thorough checkup. In the hospital she came to know as her second home, she was known for being the daughter of two musicians with reputation for their combined melody. They were indeed wealthy, however a portion of their salary went to Yuka's hospital bills to ensure she received the greatest care-- Canceling their performances to be by their daughter's side when she fell ill did not help much either. For famous musicians, they were placed around middle class but nothing in the world took priority over their precious daughter to them. Her parents lived fearing Yuka losing a battle to CVID. However, life in her simple white room was not always so dark: She found a deep love for music as she stayed indoors, with her parents as her main inspiration. While she didn't know it, many people looked upon her with smiles of pity, thoughts often wavering into the same two words: "Poor girl."

Even on the days she was released from the hospital, Yuka's treatment and surveillance continued at home. She was homeschooled by her parents to avoid contact with germs (she was still young and small, after all). From a window Yuka sometimes watched children on their way home, imagining herself walking with them and laughing about things kids found funny. At around the age of twelve, she was transferred into a junior high once her parents thought she could manage her health better; in addition to that, she would have to learn to socialize sooner or later. It was odd, yet exhilarating for the young girl. Most of her previous "friends" consisted of lab-coated doctors with clipboards, masks, or gloves... Her dream of making friends and fitting in would become a reality!-- that is, until she was introduced to her new peers. Many students casted looks her way; it was far different from the happy faces of those at the hospital. People ignored her, avoided her, and sometimes mocked her. Yuka hated herself-- School was not what she had dreamed it to be, but she thought it better to take the isolation silently than go back to being homeschooled.

The stress of school was bearable if it meant Yuka was around people; it all ended after she graduated from junior high in which Yuka's family relocated temporarily to the island of Corsica after hearing a hospital that may provide better treatment for their daughter. Surprisingly she found her life at Corsican Academy to be an improvement of her previous school in Japan. Yuka didn't make many friends, but the handful she had made her happy; one boy in particular she grew very fond of, but her self-loathing would never let her feel deserving of him. Like all good things, they must come to an end eventually. That boy transferred out suddenly and Yuka graduated before she knew it. It seemed so short, her four years in Corsica; her family moved to an average house in Variduo, where her parents planned to continue work as musicians. Yuka aimed for such a path as well, but she struggles to maintain that in addition to her near constant hospital admissions.

Yuka's Alia came to be during a very painful night at the hospital; she had gotten sick with pneumonia and her depression was kicking her hard: Her throat tightened, it was hard to swallow; as she sat up and looked to the window, face damp with tears and sweat, she made her wish to be strong. Someone people can depend on, someone who doesn't need to be pitied or taken care of.
