a few people reckon he looks like him, yea. but maybe because I draw him a few times wearing a hoodie which he doesn't wear that often in the story. he looks a bit like him, definitely not as big, but his personality is a whole lot different. but I know some people see a "bad Ieyasu" in him. ;> many characters have this hair type though... I'd say he was quite a typical looking seme.

well everyone takes inspiration from other things and artists, as long as they don't look perfectly identical to an existing character, many manga characters do look similar. usually it is the drawing style of the artist that makes the difference between one typical type of character and another. ^^ I agree, it can be difficult to make new ones up, but I base their personality on reality and some experiences so it doesn't feel like too much work, haha.
this character's name is Kazuo (δΈε€«), he is one of the main characters. I should warn that it's a yaoi/BL story >_>
I like Basara so I don't think I will stop drawing their characters any time soon

Dark things are better. I really like to torture my OCs. Many of them are even going to die! ; 0; ( i am a monster, i know it but i like it mouahahah)

dark stuff seems more natural to write to me, maybe.... it's impossible for me to imagine perfect worlds and perfect people. definitely prefer reading and drawing darker things too.
hey, they're your characters so you can do whatever you want to them. it's totally okay to torture fictional people.
you have some good character designs in your gallery. do you write and another artist draws, or are you aiming to draw all your own stories out? (just asking because I saw the cover of your characters drawn by another artist).

In general i do all my drawings but as i am not even talented to do great cover, i ask a really talented friend (doriaplume) to do my cover ^^
I only work with her for color or cover drawing because i really really love her works
Otherwise, i imagined all my characters design and many of them were born in my head a long long time ago (15 years!!! Β ). i love all of them ^^

your works are good, have you tried inking them? I think they are the level you could publish them in a manga (if you aren't already)? and ofc with constant drawing you can only get better and better at it.

i only do traditional black & white with pencils for the moment (the drawings you see in my gallery). i will probably do traditional color in the future (i really want to) but i miss time .
In my fanzines, i give my texts (by chapters) and i join drawings (mine or friends drawings of my world) but i have not the level to make a manga (even if i really want it )
I continue to practice again and again but what hell time is so short!!?

I think they would be cool if you inked them traditionally too sometime. the lines would stand out more, but they're still pretty awesome as they are~! time I short, I agree... never seems to be enough hours in the day. but I guess as my teacher said once, you have to make the time for something you love. (not sure how he expected me to make time outta nowhere, guess he meant sacrifice time from something else I liked doing for drawing instead). which I do do now... my videogame playing time suffers in its place
