Description For . It's Irui, one of the characters from Book 1 of her novel Tsuya Hakanai (Ephemeral Luster). Give it a read, all you have to do is ask her. Although she's just a sub-character, I fell in love with her- I don't know why, but I found her tough, cranky demeanor very irresistible(probably because she reminds me of my own character, Sam ). I've been begging Delru for her sketch, and in exchange. I did my own version(and a promise to read Book 2 ). Thanks again!

Here's another example of how my sketches look like before and after manipulation. On the left is the finished quick sketch using a very blunt 2B clutch pencil. I then scanned it in grayscale and then adjusted the levels in Photoshop 7 until all the pencils become flat blacks. I then erase all the smudges till I get the final image on the right. This type of sketch is pretty easier to manipulate because of the thicker and darker lines.

Although this is just a quick sketch, gotta love that look on her face.

Your artwork reminds me of the old graphic novels....Blacksad...I mean, its not anthro but the style and expression...

Well, not really, I don't ink very well. That's why I stick to pencils. ^_^

Gorgeous character! I love the sultry, yet edgy look she has. Sort of a "I'm saying come hither with one hand, but the other's on the trigger, big boy." Your method of making pencil sketches look like inkwork still seems like a great idea to me. I think I'll have to try it for myzelf some time.

Wow, your "rough" pencils look a heck of a lot more thorough than a lot of finished drawings I've seen. I tend to ink of pretty sketchy stuff by comparison. Anyway, very nice looking image.

She's quite lovely, but for some reason, I prefer her eyes pre-inked. Lovely work.
