Cuddles is a mute, pony-like creature whose origins remain a mystery even to him. He lives in the dream realm, going from dream to dream in order to feed. He doesn't choose which dreams he appears in, he just kind of phases in; however, more often then not he winds up in the dreams of foals. Once in the dream, he feeds on it via an eye-shaped hole in his mouth that sucks everything but the dreamer up. When he's finished he either phases back out and the dreamer doesn't remember seeing him, or he finds the dreamer in the vast whiteness of the former dream. His tail, which usually just drags on the ground and gasps for air, then eats the dreamer. This doesn't kill the actual pony, but it does make them have terrible nightmares for months. He was named by a little filly many years ago: she wasn't afraid of him even after he ate her dream. She was able to hug him, which greatly confused Cuddles. He was able to stop his tail from eating her before phasing out. He doesn't understand feelings, but what the little filly was able to do filled him with warmth, and he wishes other ponies could do that as well.
