Toffee Apple is an Earth Pony colt from Appleloosa and one of Applejack's many cousins. He's a very rowdy and active pony: he loves to run around, get dirty, explore new places, challenge his friends to friendly competitions, and buck apples in the orchard. He loves going out into the desert and discovering new things; he knows a lot about its wilderness and how to survive in it. He also enjoys Appleloosa's many town events like rodeos, dances, and delivering pies to the buffaloes during their stampede. Toffee is outgoing and friendly; he's a natural leader who tries to help his friends in any way he can. He can, however, be quite cocky and insensitive at times, due mostly to his belief that colts are naturally better at physical activities than fillies (even though he's been proven wrong many times). He has a stubborn streak to him and hates to admit that he's ever wrong or doesn't know something. This is one of the main reasons why he dislikes school: although very knowledgeable about the desert surrounding Appleloosa, he isn't very bright when it comes to traditional studies. Toffee loves to make caramel apples. He uses a secret caramel recipe he came up with on his own for them, one that everyone in the town appreciates when he passes out his treats at events. Like all Apples, Toffee loves his family very much and holds family values in high esteem. He loves spending time with his cousin Braeburn and Little Strongheart, and plans to live in Appleloosa the rest of his life
