Description Vienna, Austria. April 2013.

The headline on the newspaper reads: "These are the two boston bombers".

I feel this shot needs an explanation... as I saw this young man I only noticed his posture and how he held the newspaper. When I later examined the shot I noticed the headline. This lead me to be conflicted about this image, since it became very suggestive. I believe that this young man was actually taking a nap, but his posture may be interpreted as sadness or hopelessness when taking the headline into account.
It got me curious about how others may interpret it, but for this purpose I needed to translate the headline into English...

For me the "hopelessness/sadness" interpretation is in a way valid, since it is what I felt (as someone with a Muslim background), when I got to know that, once more, Muslim extremists were the perpetrators of such a senseless, bloody and malicious act.

I've read lots of stuff and watch quite a lot about those bombing, and found that sometimes the truth is changed for someone's conveniency, and guiltiness is put on muslim extremists first and then is vaguely extended to Islam itself. And that is another form of terrorism.

Check out on the internet, you'll find lots of pretty strange facts about this issue...

I am guilty of inadvertently misleading everyone by translating the headline... this shot works best for a German speaking audience, who either notice the headline or not, and upon reading it change their interpretation of the shot or not.
I am quite sure the newspaper boy was simply dosing off.

I believe what is heavy here is the young man's head, who simply dosed off. I hesitated for a long time to upload this shot, since it is kind of a lie, in that it is very suggestive through the context. But I was interested in how the shot is interpreted.

Well, to be fair, I think the young man was just dosing off. But his apparent demeanor reflected the way I felt after that bomb attack.
