Silvertooth Ravager

“That thing looks like a Silvertooth, but much bigger, and more heavily armoured.... and it can actually shoot at us now. Not good.”

Height: (to shoulder) 18- 22 feet

Length: (nose to tail) 36-40 feet

Species: Grimm

Habitats: Remnant Wilderness, Mountainous Regions, Forests, Plains

Attacks: Claws, Powerful Jaws, Massive Canines, Bone Projectile weapons on back.

A Silvertooth that has fought and hunted for many years will eventually evolve into what is classified as a Silvertooth Ravager. Faster, tougher, and much more versatile than their younger forms, Ravagers are seen as the elite of the Silvertooth species, and are reserved for only the most experienced Huntsmen.

Appearance

In many ways, the Ravager still closely resembles the Silvertooth. However, while the Silvertooth more closely resembles a big cat, the Ravager has evolved to more closely resemble a wolverine or large wolf. They are also notably bigger, bulkier and sport a larger, hooked canine design compared to their younger counterparts. Their bone plating is also much stronger than before, with several large spikes protruding between overlapping armor plates across its neck, shoulders, back, and legs.

The most distinctive feature of a Ravager, one that anyone who encounters one will quickly notice, is the large twin spikes on the Ravager's back, which can be fired like a pair of harpoon guns through unknown means. Also, though equally unknown means, these twin spikes seemingly regenerate within seconds, allowing a Ravager to fire multiple times if required, making a Ravager just as deadly at long range as it is up close.

Abilities

While a Silvertooth charges targets like a big cat, a Silvertooth Ravager fights more like a timber wolf, dodging around its prey and utilizing slashing attacks with its front claws and teeth. The Ravager is both much more agile and fast, easily able to keep up with the target and avoid projectiles, even at close range.

The Ravager has evolved a ranged weapon dubbed the Ravager Spike Cannon by Huntsmen, an evolution meant to counter its previous lacking of ranged weaponry. Though unknown means, the Ravager can fire the spikes on its back with enough force to impale through a Paladin’s armour plating, demonstrating equal amounts of firepower and pinpoint accuracy. It is unknown how exactly the Ravager achieved this evolutionary ability, nor how it is able to regenerate the lost spikes so quickly so as to fire again.

A Ravager’s strength and durability is much greater than a normal Silvertooth. Enough so that they are willing to hunt even Goliath’s if they are able to separate one away form the others. In at least one recorded instance, a pack of four Silvertooth Ravagers were seen working together to hunt down and kill a single smaller Goliath. Despite the Goliath’s greater size and strength, it was quickly set upon by the four beasts, who seemingly had no difficulty weakening and later ripping even this seasoned monstrosity to pieces with ease. This is a frightening display of their potential power, and proof that not even the largest of Grimm are safe from the Ravagers.
