A commission of my RWBY OC Character Stone, taking and no selling a direct hit to the face from Yang, during Volume 2, Chapter 4: Painting the Town.Created by and posted with his permission.
Following the destruction of the prototype Atlas Mech at the hands of Team RWBY, Stone and Neo rush in to intervene. Yang, still at full strength from destroying the Paladin, is first to charge at Stone head on, attacking with the same strike that destroyed the machine completely ...
... only for Stone to stand his ground, and reveal that he is much tougher than any war machine.

Okay this dude is epic. I enjoy hardening abilities and Armstrong and Greed are some of my favorite characters.
It'd be interesting to see how he stacks up against a character I designed. He's based on King Arthur and uses a powerful sword sharp enough to slice huge Grimm and his semblance reflects the power the scabbard of Excalibur gave Arthur
Cool guy none the less. I imagine Ruby trying to snipe him only for it to ping off like a mosquito bite or Nora hitting him only for him to say 'What was that? A toy?"

How does his Semblance work exactly? Does it have limits or drawbacks? Being able to take a punch strong enough to obliterate a Paladin does set the bar very very high.

his semblance is based off of senator armstrong's nanomachines from metal gear rising isn't it? Also I wonder how his semblance would fare against my OC Reaper's full power punch called dragon strike.

It's called Stone Wall. A play on his name and how it makes pretty much unbeatable in a straight up fight.

Yang, Jaune, and ruby are running through Salem’s castle. Being able to find its location thanks to Ozpins research and the late Raven's sword

soon our trio of young hunters find a door at the end of the hallway, the group crosses the door ready and alert and their attention is drawn towards the behemoth of a man that is Stone who is currently blocking the door towards the next hallway
Stone: You have come far children but you will not get past me“ he said while drawing out his weapon
Yang responded with a warcry and jumping towards him while pulling back a punch, Stone did nothing to block it knowing that it will end the same way their first enco-BOOOM.imagine his surprise when he found himself being punched across the room when the ringing of his head stopped he noted that the silver eyed warrior and her sidekick left the room during his brief distraction
Stone: hn it seems you have become stronger golden brawler
Yang: Yeah and this time I will break you like I did to the paladin’she said while drawing out Raven's sword

I can imagine stone being the bane of rwby and would totally break yang's back in one go. And I would think that stone either has a Russian accent or German accent.
Stone: little girl can't break 'the machine', the machine breaks you.
Stone would just grabs yang and held her up in the air then slams her into his knee hearing a audible crack in her back.

Judging from Stone's expression, he looks completely bored...as if he had been in similar situations before.
I was thinking he was probably feeling like, " (sigh) I told you so..." or "Seriously? In the face? Am I supposed to feel that?"
Or if he's feeling sarcastic, "My long lost (insert family member) can punch better than you, and he/she's only (insert height) tall..."
Or "You know, I just polished my mask half an hour ago. Now you have scratched the paint..."
No selling Yang's rocket punch? I wished we have a canon enemy character who can do that against Yang.

Stone is no stranger to taking the worst of the damage head on. More often then not, he uses his size to shield others, knowing he can take it when others can't. Or, in this case, to show that no matter how tough the opponent thinks they are, there is still a long road ahead to become the best.

(Just a heads up, this is a bit of a wall of text)
His semblance is called Stone Wall. A play on his name and the fact it renders most direct assaults against him useless.
When using Stone Wall, Stone can harden any part of his body in response to incoming attacks, the affected areas turning a dark and rigid black-grey, with some splotches of red on the outer edges. His skin, muscle and bone, as a result of the hardening, becomes highly resistant to physical damage, and combined with his natural toughness and increased healing speed, renders Stone virtually indestructible to nearly any form of attack, be it blunt force or even gunfire or explosives. Even Yang's megaton punch, powerful enough to destroy the Paladin, is unable to do any serious or permanent damage to Stone body because of his semblance hardening before she even had a chance to strike him.
In addition, said semblance can also reattach lost limbs, as evidenced by Stone reattaching his forearm shortly after it was sliced off by Amber in their fight scene in Volume 3.
Although the semblance was initially intended to harden when faced with blunt force trauma, it also possesses functions similar to a self-repair unit, healing any cracks or dents he receives over time. The semblance can also be activated at will, even when no attack is incoming, and can even create a full body shield if so desired (think Greed's Ultimate shield in Fullmetal Alchemist).
Unfortunately, while the semblance makes Stone a very powerful individual, he still possesses a few weaknesses that limit his power. For one, while very durable, Stone Wall seems incapable of reacting to sudden or rapid forms of damage. A surprise attack that Stone doesn't see coming can get through before his semblance responds. One example occurs against Ozpin, where he is briefly overpowered by Ozpin and knocked back, despite being the stronger of the two.Similarly, despite bracing himself and hardening for the final blow against Amber, he was still stunned and vulnerable to her rapid slice attack immediately after the first strike, indicating that even hardening his body had its limits. These instances both show that his semblance works best when an attack is slower or when Stone sees it coming, thus is prepared for and aware of the attack.
Likewise, there is also a hint that there is a delay in the hardening. Subtle, but a quick enough strike can injure Stone's unhardened body, as seen when his arm was cut off by Amber. The attack succeeded because it sliced ahead of the hardening. However, the weakness could also be turned to Stone's advantage, as his semblance formed a makeshift blade after the forearm was severed, which he used to severely injure Amber, taking her arm as well.
All in all, Stone Wall is a very powerful shield and weapon. Not without its flaws, but it makes a juggernaught like Stone even more tough to take down.

Very interesting semblance, and I love how well thought out it was.
It's very similar to Greed's ability in FMA combined with Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear rising revengeance.
Wow, that battle against Ozpin was pretty awesome, and so does the battle against Amber as well.
It makes him a nearly unstoppable Juggernaut. True, but it's a semblance that works and counter's attacks from opponents like Yang.

I like that the Semblance matches his personality and name. Immovable as the mountain, as they say. A lot of original characters that I've seen has a Semblance that doesn't seem to match the character at all, as if it was added just because it's cool or overpowered. Not all OC owners can explain in detail how the Semblance works. So you did a good job there.
Seems the trick is not to bother using big and powerful attacks on him, but instead try to wear him down his Aura over time with multiple, weaker and faster attacks until he can no longer use his Semblance. After that he will need to rely on his toughness, armor, and dodging.
