Description My stupid scanner messed up all the tones again...... !!!
Shi Ju means 'forty' in Japanese, since this picture was done to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of my karate club. The calligraphy on the fan says 'Welcome', '1970' and 'Oss': the word of respect used in Karate-do. It took me about 11 hours to do (something like that; I only vaguely timed myself ) and the club will see it for the first time tomorrow night during our party
